On 26.11.2024 at 19.34 hrs Porvorim police station received Information from Casualty police GMC Bambolim informing that Patient Laxmi Satpute age 79 yrs r/o Rajaram Puri, Kolhapur undergoing treatment in casualty as a Case of Vehicle accident at Porvorim.
Upon receipt of above Information HC4921 Surendra Gaude registered MV accident No. 171/2024 dated 26/11/2024, subsequently received Information from casualty police ,GMC Bambolim informing that said Patient Laxmibai w/o Niwas Satpute age 79 yrs r/o c/o H. No. 773 near bombay security office, Alto Betim Bardez Goa N/o Rajarampuri Kolhapur Maharashtra expired while undergoing treatment at Casualty GMC Bambolim Goa.
During investigation it was revealed that the said accident had occurred on 26/11/2024 at around 17:00 hrs at Ramnager Betim Bardez Goa, wherein an unknown vehicle had dashed the said pedestrian lady and fled from the spot.
During the course of investigation, a team was formed to crack this hit and run case under the supervision of Police Inspector Rahul T. Parab. The team consisted of PSI Pratik Tulaskar, HC 4921 Surendra Gaude ,PC 7106 Akash Naik, PC 8013 Nitesh Gaude, Pc 8701 Sunil Chavan of Porvorim PS. The Team did meticulous ground work and traced one Blue Colour Baleno car bearing no. GA-7-T-0385 (Rent Car) involved in this hit and run case and also traced Accused Driver Namely Himanshu s/o Santu R/o c/o SN Blue Resort Betim Porvorim N/o Uttar Pradesh involved in this case.
In this connection Porvorim Police have registered FIR No. 127/2024 U/s 281,106(1) BNS 2023 and 3 r/w 181, 134(a)(b) of MV Act 1988 is registered.
The post mortem examination over the dead body of deceased Laxmibai w/o Niwas Satpute is conducted and dead body handed over to the relatives for final rites.
Accused namely Himanshu s/o Santu age 21 yrs who is working as bellboy in SN Blue Resort Betim Porvorim N/o Uttar Pradesh is arrested is this case.
Further investigation is in progress with PSI Pratik Tulaskar. Under the supervision of Police Inspector Rahul T. Parab of Porvorim Police Station, SDPO Porvorim Vishwesh Karpe and SP North Akshat Kaushal.
