Panaji has been awarded the title of Cleanest City between 50,000 to 20,000 population at the Swachh Survekshan Awards 2024-25, presented by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

This recognition is not just an award — it is a validation of the sustained efforts and transformative initiatives undertaken under the Swachh Bharat Mission. From door-to-door waste collection, to achieving Garbage-Free City certification, and ensuring scientific treatment of waste, Panaji has set a benchmark in urban cleanliness.

Receiving this prestigious award is a proud moment for all of us — a reflection of our commitment to a cleaner, greener Goa.

Special appreciation to Mayor of Panjim, Rohit Monserrate, for his dedication and proactive efforts in ensuring garbage segregation is strictly followed across the city.
